  • Station Profile
Nexstar acquired KBTV, an NBC affiliate, in January of 1998. Since the acquisition of KBTV, Nexstar relocated most departments of the station from Port Arthur to a shopping center in Beaumont.

In 1999, Nexstar re-launched the station with new call letters, graphics, on-air talent, and promotions.

As of January 2009, KBTV has officially changed its network affiliation from NBC to FOX and re-launched the station with an emphasis on local programming as well as news, weather and sports.

As a FOX affiliate, KBTV enjoys the opportunity to produce and air more local programming like high school and college sporting events and is also the only local station with a full hour of late news.

The combination of more local programming and an aggressive advertising sales staff insures that KBTV will continue to grow revenue share. The station's syndicated programming includes Judge Joe Brown, Jeopardy and Entertainment Tonight.

The station delivers both an analog and digital signal to its viewing area.
