Contest Rules
These rules shall govern any contest / promotions conducted by KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM
and are meant to be in addition to the written contest / promotions specific rules.
1. All contest / promotions on KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM are designed with fairness in mind and purchase is not necessary.
2. If contest / promotions requires written entry, entries should be mailed to KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM, 6155 Eastex Frwy Suite 300, Beaumont, TX 77706. Entry must contain your name, address, age and phone number.
3. Contest / promotions participants must be 18 or older to enter and/or win. In the event the prize is won by a minor the prize delivery must be agreed to in writing by the guardian and the guardian will agree to pay all applicable taxes associated with the prize.
4. Prizes are non-transferable and can not be exchanged.
5. KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM shall not be responsible for prizes not delivered by any participating sponsor.
6. All entrants and winners agree that KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, videotape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason deemed necessary, without compensation, and further agrees to hold KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use. This includes minor children associated with the contest or prize giveaway.
7. All entrants and winners agree that KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM, Nexstar Broadcasting, and it’s affiliates shall have no liability and shall be held blameless for any injury, misfortune or damage to either persons or property insured by entering, participating in, winning or losing any contest / promotions by use or non-use of any prize awarded.
8. Unless otherwise stated, KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM limits all winners to one per household, per contest / promotion.
9. Winner has thirty (30) calendar days to claim their prize at the KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM business office. After 30 days the prize will be forfeited.
10. Contest / promotions winners must provide their Social Security number and/or form of identification upon request and may be required to sign a release form, and other tax associated forms (IRS 1099), prior to receiving their award.
11. Winners of all contest / promotions are solely responsible for any and all taxes, tips, and/or gratuities that may result by claiming their prize.
12. The employees of KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM, Nexstar Broadcasting, Participating Sponsors and their families are ineligible to play and/or win the contest / promotion.
13. The employees of any other broadcasting company and their family are ineligible to play and/or win the contest / promotion.
14. KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM reserves the right to alter and/or terminate any contest / promotions at any time and in any way without prior notification to participants.
15. Rules for individual contest / promotions may vary and changes are left to the discretion of KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM.
16. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest / promotions by fraud, deception or cheating shall be grounds for KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contest / promotions and events at the sole discretion of KBTV/SETXHOMEPAGE.COM, as well as forfeiture of any of any prize won by fraudulent means.
