![]() Although I was born in New Jersey, I have been raised in Southeast Texas most of my life. I am blessed to be surrounded by family, from whom I draw my inspiration. I have three younger siblings who are true blessings and to them I devote my strength. I attended Lamar University in Beaumont, where I received my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Communication with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism in 2007. During my academic career at Lamar, I reported, anchored, and produced for the LUTV News Broadcast on PBS Channel 7. I was also apart of many Communication and Journalism projects while in college. I spent the summer of 2006 living in Washington DC where I attended Georgetown University and interned for Radio America. During my internship, I was able to produce and report two news packages that aired on the radio talk show syndicated nationwide. My other responsibilities were to write the daily Congressional segment for the show’s host. I was able to meet important members of our government, including Texas’ own Senator Kay-Bailey Hutchison. I interned for KBTV in the spring of 2005 and am happy to have since joined the team in February of 2007 as the 10 p.m. Producer. I look forward to what lies ahead. When I am not working, my heart lies with my volunteer work for my church, Golden Triangle Church on the Rock. I anchor the weekly announcement circuit for Sunday services, and assist with broadcasts and church projects. I have competed in several local pageants, including winning the title of Miss Nederland 2003. In the summer of 2007, I had the honor of representing Nederland in the Miss Texas USA 2008 pageant in Laredo, TX.
