Reported by: Ericka English Wednesday, Mar 18, 2009 @10:47am CDT Most teen girls are stressing over what dress to wear for prom. But for Teisha, she has the added stress of not having a family to share in her special moment.
"This is my last prom, I'm a senior this year," Teisha said while looking through formal gowns. She's thankful for a supportive community. Hundreds of people donated formal gowns for girls just like her. She adds, "I looked through these dresses and some of them are really expensive." But it didn't stop there. The fourth annual Prom Project allowed them to be Cinderella for a day. The girls shopped for accessories and were pampered with a make-over. Then it was time for their close ups. "It's good to have people help me do something i can't do for myself," she said. Bringing so much joy during her time of need.
