A former Orangefield Junior High School teacher and coach took a plea bargain in court Thursday afternoon.

A grand jury returned several indictments against Jennifer Burton back in April.

Burton plead guilty to 2 charges of sexual assault and 1 charge of improper relationship between and educator and student.

She could get 10 years in prison for each case.

Three other charges were dismissed.

Burton turned herself into authorities last week.

Burton resigned from Orangefield ISD.
