The title went to Tori Nicole Tinsley. She was one of 12 girls who competed for the honor to represent the festival, which starts Thursday. This is the 41st year for the pageant. There are several categories ranging from Little Miss to Queen, the contest is open from the age of three to high school seniors. Over 60 girls participated. To be eligible to be Queen, you must be in 10th, 11th, or 12 grade, and live in Groves. The Pageant was held Saturday night at Port Neches-Groves High School. Fox 4's Angel San Juan was one of six judges with the difficult job of picking the winners. The Texas Pecan Festival runs from Thursday, September 17th through Sunday, September 20th at Lions Park in Groves. |
