>The Democratic primary race for Jefferson County Commissioner PrPrecicnt 3 is heading for a runoff.

Jefferson County Justice of the Peace Thurman Bartie, pictured left, lead all candidates with 24-percent of the votes while Port Arthur City Councilman Michael "Shane" Sinegal, pictured right, finished second with 19-percent of the votes. The two will face off in a runoff April 8.

The winner of the runoff will face libertarian Kevin McCarthy in the November election.
