Reported by: Weather Staff Thursday, Nov 5, 2009 @12:12pm CST The National Weather Service is still issuing a flood warning for the Sabine River near Bon Wier and Deweyville.
On Thursday morning, the stage was 36.3 feet near Bon Wier. Officials say the river has crested and will begin to fall Thursday afternoon and into the evening. In Deweyville, the stage was at 26.5 feet as of 9:15 Thursday morning. The river is expected to continue to rise to 28 feet over the weekend. Deweyville ISD has canceled school for Thursday and Friday. |
