The Bishop of the Beaumont Catholic Diocese presented those papal honors to them during a mass Monday night.

It was held at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica in downtown Beaumont.

The pope recognized the 12 for their years of service to the church and the Southeast Texas Community.

The years of church service of those honored ranged from 29 to 65 years.
