A Port Arthur family wants to make sure abused and neglected children don't give up hope. After nearly three months renovations to the James Hope Center are finally complete. Just nine weeks ago all you could hear was the sound of a hammer and a saw. Now laughter is all you hear when entering the newly renovated center in Port Arthur. An open house was held Saturday to celebrate the center's opening. Co founder Jacqueline Nero-James says she came up with the idea of the Hope Center after meeting a woman who shared her vision of helping children who can't help themselves. The center can house up to 16 children including a separate room for four babies. But besides giving children a roof over their heads.. she says the James Hope Center is about providing, hope.
