Reported by: Ericka English Wednesday, Jun 4, 2008 @06:35pm CDT Every child in foster care doesn't find a "forever family," some are forced to begin their adult life alone with no one to care for them. But KBTV-4 came to the rescue of one graduating senior Wednesday by sponsoring an emancipation party. Terrence Carriere will be graduating from Ozen High School Saturday. He says he was in foster care since he was five-years-old, but has been living with an aunt for the past two months. We showered him with gifts Wednesday to make his transition a little easier.
"It's a blessing to see that people care for me, it's a blessing to see all those gifts, " Terrence responded to the table of gifts presented to him.
Terrence will be attending Lamar Institute of Technology in the fall and will major in Engineering.
